Hi,
I have just updated to KDE3.0.4 and everything went fine, except for kdeaddons.
When I try to emerge it, it fails to compile with the following error:
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.2/../../../../i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lasound
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

make: *** [all] Error 2
!!! ERROR: The ebuild did not complete successfully.

Can you help me?
Thank you

The problem is that you don't seem to have tha alsa library "libasound".
You should try to (re-)emerge media-libs/alsa-lib |

You are right, I have alsa disabled
IN fact, having installed the sourceforge audigy drivers, I disabled ALSA and cadded -ALSA in my USE flags.
Shouldn't this tell portage that it should emerge KDE without alsa?
