I have numlock on for all the consoles, it works in kde itself, but kdm doesnt have it going. I remeber there was an option somewhere to make the numpad work like in windows, so that numlock was irellevant unless the application understood the extended buttons on the number-keypad.
Edit:
I knew there was a simple solution.
Just add to your kdmrc file, probly in /usr/kde/<versio>/share/config/kdm, under the X-*-Greeter section
heres the link... watch out it a long one
http://docs.kde.org/cgi-bin/desktopdig/search.cgi?show=en/HEAD/kdebase/kdm/kdmrc-x-greeter.html&collection=en&q=kdm%20numlock
none of this adding an extra program such as numlockx. I mean we're talking about good ol complex kde right! |
