hi everybody,
i'd want to share my happiness... after a whole afternoon spent in experimenting with sensors now they WORKS!!!
some infos before:
motherboard: Gigabyte GA-7vrx (rev 2.0)
kernel: 2.6.5-rc1 (gentoo-dev-sources)
i followed this guide: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=101573
some tips:
1) i had to compile the following modules:
- i2c support [i2c-core]
- i2c device interface [i2c-dev]
- isa bus support [i2c-viapro]
- ite it87xx [it87]
- lm90 [lm90]
2) with kernel 2.6.5rc1 or better you have to use lm-sensors 2.8.6!!! (see here: http://www2.lm-sensors.nu/~lm78/kernel26.html)
the output of sensor command is this:
Code: | fctk@sedna fctk $ sensors
