When I access my desktop remotely using kde desktop sharing tunneled over ssh, I occasionally have problems where a keystroke is repeated a bunch of times (imagine hitting CTRL-T in firefox and having like 40 new tabs opening).
I can fix it by disabling key repeats in KDE, so I imagine that the problem is that the tunnel connection does key repeats and sometimes it gets in a loop with kde doing repeats.
However, it's really annoying to have to disable repeats when I ssh in (I usually only remember after I have accidently closed everything by sending a bunch of CTRL-W), then re-enable them when I get home (which I only remember when I hold backspace down for 30 seconds, swearing, wondering why it stopped after one character).
I am pretty sure there is some trivial way to disable key repeat in ssh/putty, but I haven't found it. Any suggestions?
Thanks! |
