hello
is there a way to stream out television (v4l2 device) with mplayer ?
i would like to have my central machine to send the tv stream to my whole lan; i would like to be able to control the bandwidth (i am on wifi lan) and to change channels etc... and the players could be windows, linux or whatever !
please if someone has been able to do it in a easy way i would really appreciate if i had some tips

If you really wanted to do it with mplayer, you probably could stitch something together with mplayer/mencoder/ffserver, nc and a few shell scripts. It would be a pain.
However, you could just use mythtv. Set up the machine with the tv card running mythbackend, and run the mythfrontend on the machines you want to be able to watch from. |
