Hi,
I know, there are a lot of topics about installation problems with Openoffice.org. I myself posted one because I could not start it any longer. I tried the binary version, without help, since then I am working with the Ximian version (with some minor problems, but at least I can work at all). Two days ago I created space on my harddisk and compiled OOo from the source code. It did not work. Today I took the tar archive from the openoffice-site and installed it without problems. But when I'm running the setup it aborts with this:
Code: |
bash-2.05b$ ./setup
glibc version: 2.3.2
sh: line 1: crash_report: command not found
Fatal exception: Signal 8
Stack:

Has anybody any idea what to do? If you need further information let me know (I don't post anything, because I don't see what the problem might be related to), any help is appreciated. |

Thanks, but as I just said I tried the binary version yet and it did not start. I don't remember any more the error messages and cannot reproduced it any longer, I suppose after the first error there remained some file after a disinstallation of the source version. Anyway I will have to do a new installation of my whole system, I think, after that it will work - unfortunately I'm going to install it on a Mac and the last source is not available, so I will have to choose the non-i18n-binary package.
Thanks any way. |
