hi there, i use dhcp for eth0 and i did a stage 2 install and everything was going fine, i didnt have to cnfigure networking for the install at all.
now that everything is installed it seems i have a static ip on my lan of 192.168.0.2, so every time i log in i have to run dhcpcd eth0
how can i just set it to automatically receive an ip from dhcp?

Adjust your /etc/conf.d/net as you were told by the installation docs. |

You need to edit your /etc/conf.d/net file and comment out the line that assigns that IP address and uncomment the dhcp line. Basically, you want everything commented out except _________________ Gentoo...it's like wiping your ass with silk. Or sandpaper. |
