Activating and Configuring Netgear Wireless PCMCIA (MA521)

I just purchased this card yesterday. I am new to gentoo--
who has gotten this thing working successfully?

that card uses the realtek 8180 i believe
this is only supported by using ndiswrapper (and driverloader i think but you have to pay for that)
