i've just installed im-ja, works fine:)
what i tried is to write the name of ony of my favourite anime titles:
tsuki hime, which means afaik princess of the moon.
i checked the jpn-eng dictionaries, and indeed hime means princess, tsuki can mean many things, including moon.
so i wrote tsukihime into a gtk window, which got translated to: 胤姫.
the second symbol is fine, but i have problems with the first.
from the dictionaries it seems that moon (tsuki) should be this kanji:月.
but im-ja generates me 胤, which means offspring, descendant, related-by-blood.
any ideas? |

Many Japanese character selections are ambigous. If you hit the space bar again after the kanji selection is displayed you can rotate through alternative kanji with the same reading. Most of the time the first guess is right, but if it isn't, just scroll through the selection and pick the one you want. You're right in wanting 月, of course. |
