Hi,
Two days ago the root partition on my notebook crashed after
an "ls" in the shell returned a segmentation fault. Apparently
the reiserfs file system on this partition got corrupted and
since than i cannot boot linux anymore.
so i booted from a gentoo live cd and ran several times
reiserfsck on the partition (with different options) but it
didn't help.
finaly i tried "reiserfsck --rebuild-tree /dev/hda15" which
seems to have done some positive to it. the partition seems to
be in a valid state now. but instead of my root tree i now
have only one folder "lost+found" on it.
when i mount it and make an "ls" on "/root/defekt/lost+found",
i get hundreds of directories and files all in that lost+found
directory (all in this format). Somehow they appear to me to
contain my hole directory- and filestructure.

MY QUESTION IS NOW: is there a program or a procedure that can
resore my files and directories out of all these cryptic files
and dirs??? or what exactly is this "lost+found" about???
i appreciate any help i can get on this thing. i have really
important data on this partition and hope there might be a way
to restore them.
