I wanted to update my squirrelmail due to GLSA 200406-08. So I get a strange error, after looking in the forum noone else seems to have the same problem, so I didn't file a bugs yet, like the advisory told me....

Gentoo bug 53855 lists these web application migration tasks, including Squirrelmail. In the meantime you should just follow the instructions to unmerge your existing version first.
