hay,
i'd like to host some games for me and my friends to play online, but whenever i do, it don't work, no one can connect. i'm guessing its because i'm behind a router. how would i get past this? one of my friends who is really good at linux, recommended something like iptables?? he doesn't have cable/or a network so he didn't really know, thanks for the help everyone.

you need to forward the port the game connects to to that same port on your local machine. |

Is your router linux based or is it a hardware router with some kind of setup page? |

If that's the case then maybe this page will help. Otherwise you will have to consult your router's manual. |
