This process sometimes start taking 20-40% cpu usage, fairly often too, and it didn't use to before.
On kernel 2.6.7, could it be the staircase patch? Or me switching to cfq possibly?
I'm compiling xfree currently, checked genlop and it took 47 minutes before, now it's on 1 hour and 10 minutes and still not done. Also noticed a bit earlier in the compile that my load avrange was on 0.5, is this normal in xfree compile? I haven't noticed that before... well over 2 now though. |

CFQ is pretty much out of the question on this one. Don't know about Kolvas' staircase scheduler patch, but I don't think so either... Not running 2.6.7 here though. _________________ Military Commissions Act of 2006: http://tinyurl.com/jrcto
