|
|
Hey,
while installing gentoo1.4_rc1 on my AthlonXP i recognized that the kernel was build with -Os (instead of -O2 ?).
Now i'm running into several segfauls ( <1> Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer ..), even when running commands like 'rm'.
So my question is:
Is this '-Os'-parameter normal for 1.4_rc1 (though the kernel-sources themselves are heavily patched) or should it be -O2/-O3, and where to change it?
(i was installing from an 1.2-bootdisc 'cause 1.4 didn't supply the right network-driver)
Thanks. |

This seems to be the default gentoo-sources-r9. I posted about this earlier; you can see the thread here _________________ Robert |
