No sound, ALSA, kernel 2.6.10 and a Via sound chip.

Hi,

I've just upgraded my kernel from 2.6.9 to 2.6.10, and can't get my sound working. ALSA is activated and compiled into the kernel, as is the correct driver for the soundcard. I have also emerged alsa-utils. I can't unmute master with amixer, it just tells me "amixer: Unable to find simple control 'master',0". Though PCM worked fine to unmute.
