Vesafb and refreshrates

Hi.
Is it possible to set the vsync when using the vesafb kernel module?
I ask because ive just set up a bootsplash image for my terminals, which looks mad, but unfortunately the screen is at 60Hz, which has the effect of shrinking my screen area. The vesafb.txt in the kernel documentation wasnt very helpful
