I don't know why, but my Gnome:
Application->Multimedia->Volume Control
has two mixer:
1. Analog Devices AD1981B, Silicon[Audio Mixer(OSS)]
2. Intel 82801 DB-ICH4[ALSA Mixer]
when I reboot I have to adjust the volume,
It can't save the volume setting.
anyone have an ideal about this ?
Thank you |

The two volume mixers are because you have alsa sound support (with oss emulation). The first one is the OSS control for apps that don't support ALSA, and the second is for everything else. They both control the same volume level, so you can just use one.
When you reboot, ALSA is forgetting the sound levels. I think running this will fix the problem:
Code: | rc-update add alsasound default |
