Here is my issue. I was installing KDE/KDM according to the destop setup tutorial, but once I rebooted my machine, I get an XFree86 Logon screen. I put in my info for my user and root and it just takes me to another screen with a white "session menu" box. I cannot type in this box, but I can select Default/Failsafe session. This option will take me to a weird little screen with checkpoint info, but I cannot do anything else. I know KDE works, I got it working when I first installed it. Now I have this weird error. Please help.

in your /etc/rc.conf, change your DISPLAYMANAGER to Code: | DISPLAYMANAGER="kdm" | then restart xdm (prolly by rebooting) and it should work. _________________ ~~ Peter: Programmer, Mathematician, STEM & Free Software Advocate, Enlightened Agent, Transhumanist, Fedora contributor
