|

Hello,
I need to edit couple of video files (at the moment in wmv format, but I can convert them if necessary), but don't know much about decent video editors for Linux.
I don't need any fancy-pants multimedia features, but I would like to be able to do some basic editing ("Ok, let's drop that scene away" etc). Is there a relatively simple program available for this? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. _________________ Yes, I'm the man. Now it's your turn to decide if I meant "Yes, I'm the male." or "Yes, I am the Unix Manual Page.". |

Hi,
You could try kino or cinerama but don't expect too much, they are relatively young.
I use vmware with premiere and find it very good

Ok, thanks. Will give them a try. I know about the Premiere already, but a full-Linux solution would be extremely cool, since I don't need any cool effects this time. _________________ Yes, I'm the man. Kino just about works. It's quite simple editing wise. |

For simple cutting avidemux might be enough. It's similar to virtualdub for windows.
For more complex works I prefer Cinelerra. |
