I'm having a frustrating time with the 2.6.6 win4lin sources. I installed
them, selected the netraverse option, built the kernel and installed it
and booted from it. I emerge win4lin 5.1 ebuild (I've also tried 5.0.8 ).

Started /etc/init.d/Win4Lin but there are *no* modules started:
no Win4Lin, and no mki_adapter. Obviously, I can't get
very far with running windows :(.

Any advice would be welcome

Thanks for the link; there may well be something seriously wrong with
the 2.6.6win4lin sources.

I see this:

-- enable loadable module support

instead of this:

[ ] enable loadable module support

Anyone know why that is. Doesn't look good anyway

I had a similar issue.I did find a dir ´mki-adapter26-old´ in /usr/src/linux which is no use to anyone. I simply pulled the mki-adapter26 patch from netraverse.com applied, it built & all was ok. The ebuild certainly looks a bit dodgy.

yes...i guess there is something wrong with the win4lin source..i tried it previously and it complains that my modules are not loaded...

infact i had built it in my kernel...

anyway now i have manually patched my dev-source and it works wonders..
