|
|
I've been looking through the install docs for the latest release...and don't see anything to help my problem. I have a Linksys wireless pci card as my network card ont the box I'm wanting to install my first try at Gentoo on....
The install isn't detecting it...and when I looked through the modules...I don't see what should be a prism2 module....at least that's what I had it working with on an old RH install...
Any suggestions or pointers to info?
Thanx

I am going to try to get a linksys wireless working also, WPC11 once i can get the PCMCIA loaded. (laptop)
I am not positive on the driver either.
On this pcmcia list: http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net//ftp/SUPPORTED.CARDS it lists the orinoco driver as the one to use.
On the linksys driver page for my card it refers to the wlan-ng driver, and on this wireless page:http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_Tourrilhes/Linux/Linux.Wireless.drivers.html#Prism2 it appears to indicate the prism drivers, but the orinoco section above says that it may support prism based cards.
Ya got me.
I gather that you have the same card with an adapter, for the PCI buss?
