I've only recently noticed this...

su: Authentication failure

tactless@squirrel tactless $ sudo cat /etc/sudoers | grep %wheel
%wheel ALL=(ALL) ALL
tactless@squirrel tactless $ cat /etc/group | grep wheel
wheel:x:10:root,tactless |
It used to work. What's up?

Got it - permissions for su were wrong. Fixed.
