*sighs*
i don't know what's wrong, but i can't insmod my pcmcia_core
i don't know if it's because of the cd, but the /lib/modules/<kernel>/pcmcia directory's empty (shouldn't it have the pcmcia module?) as well as my /cdroot/lib/modules/<kern>/pcmcia... why are they missing?
without it, i can' probe for my ethernet card, and that's causing me problems. anyhow, any help would be wonderful (i hope i don't need a new cd, i hope i'm just looking in the wrong place)
thanks
oh, by the way, i can't find cardmgr either... (shouldn't it be in one of the bins?)

How did you configure your kernel for PCMCIA support, built in or module?
Have you emerge pcmcia-cs?

The 1.4 cds don't have the pcmcia stuff on them. You can use a 1.2 cd to boot and then download a tarball for 1.4. If you look, there are threads with more details about how to do this. |

installing 1.4-rc1 & pcmcia_core is the thread I have been directing traffic on this topic to. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |
