Hi liebe Leser!
Ich habe eben gerade mal meine /etc/X11/XF86Config bearbeitet, da ich zufällig festgestellt hatte, dass das hier analog läuft, anstatt per DVI.
Solange kein XFree gestartet war läuft der Monitor per DVI, sonst analog.
Jetzt sieht meine "XF86Config" so aus: | Code: | # Device configured by xf86config:

Ich habe einfach nur die Option "ConnectedMonitor" "DFP" hinzu gefügt. Ich kann nur sagen, das ist ja 1000 x besser jetzt! Die Schrift sieht jetzt super scharf aus, echt, das haut mich glatt um jetzt! 
Und, ich habe auch das Gefühl, dass Programme wie "Firefox" und "Thunderbird" oder auch "Gimv"jetzt viel schneller starten und die Grafik laden!!
Kann das wirklich durch DVI so sein?
Grafikkarte und Monitor sind: nVidia Corporation NV25 [GeForce4 Ti 4200] (rev 163) - Hyundai Image Quest L70A
PS: Ich wollte es nur mal hier mitteilen, weil ich über das Ergebnis dieser kleinen Änderung so begeistert bin. Ich dachte eigentlich ursprünglich, dass Xfree automatisch mit über DVI läuft, wenn es die Konsole doch auch kann!?

vielleicht bin ich einfach nur zu blöd, aber irgendwie verstehe ich Deine Aussage nicht. Vielleicht kannst Du mir das noch etwas präziser beschreiben. 
- Hast Du den Monitor jetzt via VGA oder DVI angeschlossen? Die Option ConnectedMonitor steckt doch nicht Dein Kabel um. *stirnrunzel*
- Meinst Du mit DVI vielleicht, daß der Monitor jetzt per LVDS und nicht mehr per TTL angesteuert wird?

NOTE: anything attached to a 15 pin VGA connector is
regarded by the driver as a CRT. "DFP" should only be
used to refer to flatpanels connected via a DVI port.

Hm, also, ich habe beide Kabel dran, nach dem DVI irgendwie nicht ging, bei der Installation. Habe mich dann auch erst mal nicht weiter darum gekümmert.
Ich weiss, etwas verkehrt das das Ganze. ... nun geht XFree jedenfalls per DVI und nicht mehr analog. ... Wie da wer was auf welche Art und Weise ansteuert, keine Ahnung!
