xorg-x11 +static and nvidia

How can I use the nvidia driver with xorg-x11 compiled with USE flag static?

if it doesn't work, recompile xorg

Because I use hardened gcc, xorg will only work if I compile it with static (I am not 100% sure that this is the root of evil)

It startet when I updated xorg to -r1, and I got the bitmapmod.a crap. (hadn't updated kernel in "years") I recompiled several times, and then I got unresolved symbols in nvidia_drv. Then I rekompiled nvidia-glx and -kernel, it didn't help, and I ended up with xorg +static, and nvidia isn't recognized.
