i've installed a 2.6.7 kernel and now i'm regretting it cuz i cannot disable sandbox and i cannot install the right driver for my network card.. i'm trying to get it back down to 2.4.25 but i am having troubles compiling it.. how do i remove the 2.6.7 gentoo-dev kernel? |

Sandbox problems won't be caused by the kernel, and removing a kernel is not needed to install another one. Please be more specific about your actual problem, i.e. post an exact error message. |

There's nothing special about downgrading, just install it like every other kernel. |

o... then i've got sum probs here and there... cuz first,, it gives me segmentation error.. else it says cannot make
or does anyone knko how to disable sandbox..

Disabling the sandbox means files on your harddisk can be changed/added/deleted without the knowledge of portage. This does not only prevent a proper uninstall of the package, but is also a security risk. |
