alsa: emu10k1 (SB Live 5.1 Digital) [very quiet/line-in :P]

alright, i just bought me a Creative Sound Blaster Live! Digital
it seems to work and is recognized by alsa
hardware mixing works as well (up to 32 channel if im right)

but my only prob is, that i dont have a sound.
(acutally i just got sound from the line-in jack
plugged the speakers right now to the output jack and the headphones to line-in
headphones (plugs - shouldnt need much power) get a very silent sound.
speakers are dead.

and btw, ich have loads of controls in alsamixer and believe that here something might be miss configured.


can someone provide me with setting informaiton an tell me how to solve that output/input jack prob?

alright, i got sound now


played a bit around in the alsamixer and i get the same super sound now from these two jacks:

REAR SPEAKER OUT
DIGITAL OUT


but sitll none of the jacks is doing the line-in job id like to have for my tv/radio card....................



no one has these probs? i guess more ppl have this sound card with the same driver :/

I'm getting a bit confused?
You were saying that you were plugging HEADPHONES into your line-in and not getting anything out of the headphones?

Line-in is exactly that - it take line level signal's into the ADC of the SND card

or was I just mis-reading

actually those jacks are a swapped somehow....
thats why i tried every jack.

but now i get the right nice sound from the rear output and digital output jack.

both identical quality.

but none of them is line in................... :/

front speakers output, mic and line-in, at least, those supposed to be, are somehow useless :/



i guess, i need some module extra parameters to get that workin...........
