|
|
I have the gnome volume control applet on my menubar. When I right click and choose to open the volume control, it says no mixers/devices are found. If I try to use it to change the volume, the volume doesn't change and the slider bar goes back down to the bottom of the screen. Kmix and gnome-alsamixer work, so I know the problem is with the applet.
Any idea how I can fix it? There aren't any devices listed under "Preferences", so that might be part of the problem, but I have no idea how to tell it which device to use. |

hi, try to run this in a shell:
$ gst-register-0.8
to see if it helps.
If not, logout gnome and login again (run that first)
I solved this before, however, I forgot if logout was necessary,
just give it a try _________________ - http://nkbit.com
