Is there an easy way to set this up with xorg-x11, or should I use a different server and config for each display?
My cards are a nVidia GeForce 5200fx an a S3 ViRGE DX (pci).
I want two seperate desktops, not one large desktop across both displays.
Thanks for any help. |

You can do it... I just don't know how to get both screens to stay on... if you're using one X display, the other screen will blank out, and vice-versa.
As far as actual setup, you just want to setup the two diff. vid. cards in your XF86Config, the two monitors, and setup different layouts to use the separate hardware configurations. I can't seem to find a good howto on how to do this, though sorry. /etc/X11/XF86Config is pretty self-explanatory, though. _________________ McManus

Thanks. I might use Xinerama, as I need both screens on at once.
This will need changes to my fvwm2rc, as I want a 2x2 virtual desktop on one screen, and a separate desktop on the other. |
