noscsi bootoption

Hi everybody,

I've got the asus p4c800 mobo with two sata disks connected. When I boot the livecd, I want the disks recognized as hde and hdf instead of sda/sdb. As far as I know the sata disks should work fine without scsi support, so I try to turn it off by booting with "smp noscsi", but the disks are still detected as scsi. How do I have to boot, so that I have ide disks? And does the noscsi bootoption really exists? I don't see it listed by pressing F2!
