Hi!
I have some difficulties getting nfs to work as i want. The problem is, that uid differs from the server/client. How do i most easily correct this? I dont want to run NIS or LDAP just to get rid of this problem, since it's a very small network.
in worst case, i guess i have to change uid for the user on the client machine. how is this done in the safest way?

Hi I would also like to do this. Unfortunaltly I don't have control over the server but do have control over my box so I could always do like you say change My UID.
