i want to go from a 2.6.5 kernel to a 2.4 kernel how can i do this or do i need to reinstal my entire system?? (i need to get an older version to get my radeon to work)

Just emerge the 2.4 kernel sources that you want to use then do

Code:

cd /usr/src
rm linux
ln -s /usr/src/linux-2.4.** /usr/src/linux

the asteriks being what ever kernel you emerged and configure the new kernel and change your grub.conf to boot the new kernel.
