ok i've totally messed up my kernel configuration
has anyone got a default genkernel config because the one i have keeps going back to either using .config or .config.bak
so i can't go back to default settings if i can get a generic genkernel config then i could configure it to my hardware and everything should work again
or if anyones got any better ideas
i'm all ears because i don't want to reinstall Gentoo coz it takes aaaaaages |

If you do 'make mrproper' in the kernel source directory, it will overwrite .config to the default settings, as well as purge all your modules. If you want genkernel kernel settings, copy /etc/kernels/default-config to /usr/src/linux-VERSION/.config.
