I get the following error with modprobe nvidia

FATAL: Error inserting nvidia (/lib/modules/2.6.7-gentoo-r6/video/nvidia.ko): Invalid module format
|
I have no idea why this is happening, help!!! |

Hey, i had the same problem yestoday...
First.
Make sure that you do not use the new 4k stack option in the kernel, this will prevent the module from working and give the same error message...
Secund.
That didnt so it for me, I also had to install the latest nvidia driver for it to work..
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge nvidia-kernel

I did that, then modprobe nvidia and startx, now I get module not found during x startup!!! |
