| I just had to reconfigure my kernel to enable some sound stuff, but on reboot it says that the nvidia module failed loading. This kernel is slighty newer, 2.6.7 and the other was just on the 2004.1 live cd, I think something like 2.6.5. I still have the other kernel, so I created another entry in grub and can still boot into with the nvidia module on the old kernel. What happened? Is it something I did wrong? |

| no, you did everything right. you just need to recompile nvidia-kernel and nvidia-glx. every time you change you kernel you need to do this... |

by recompile you mean re-emerge? I just emerged 61.06, should this fix it? |

oops forgot to update modules, now it works great! 
YAY! finally nvidia includes the graphical config tool in official divers  |
