Xorg and Undefined Symbols

Hi,

I am installing a new box and I wanted to give Xorg a go since its the way of the future. As the 'new' box is a P3 500, I've put its HDD in my Athlon-XP.

I've done a stage 1 with
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
CFLAGS="-march=pentium3 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer"
CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"

Only the vga driver works. The other general purpose drivers (fbdev, vesa) and the nv driver all generate undefined symbol errors.

Any advice/tips/hints?
