Ho installato Fluxbox e volevo imparare ad usarlo come gestore definitivo ma non riesco a cambiare l'immagine di background , ho provato allora ad andare nel file di configurazione e ho attivato :

però questo non ha attivato nessun cambaimento, rimane sempre lo sfondo di default prevista dallo style di turno..unica osa si vede l'immagine che ho settato solo 1 sec quando carica fluxbox all'inizio, ma sparisce subito...come mai?
Ho provato anche ad usare quell'applicazione carina che è bbrb ma non ha sotito nessun effetto. 
P.S. che tipo di immagine deve essere indicata per avere lo splash in
fluxbox??

| Per cambiare sfondo usa Esetroot. E' un comando che ti ritrovi dopo aver emergiato x11-terms/Eterm. Sullo splash screen xò nn so aiutarti Cmq ti consiglio di 1- installare fluxspace(gestisce i comandi di startup e i desktop virtuali) -2 installare Eterm (difatto è un terminale con degli addons che permetto di settare lo sfondo con la possibilità di attivare le trasparenze) -3 installare idesk per le icone (man idesk e man ideskrc sono molto chiari per quello che riguarda la configurazione ) -4 installare rox (sarebbe il file manager) . Ricordati di avviare fluxspace dalla rootCommand del file init che c'è dentro la cartella .fluxbox della tua home. Se hai bisogno di qualcos'altro chiedi pure e vedrò se posso aiutarti! Grazie tantissimo, adesso sono in ufficio ma appena torno vado a provare e vedo se succede qualcosa, effettivamente già con BBRB la possibilità di settare il bground la dava ma risultati zero..proverò con fluxspace.

ho installato fluxspace e ho configurato i file che suggeriva l'eerge ma al momento non so usarlo ho visto solo una piccola striscia i basso a sinistra che si chiama slit ma non ho capito a cosa serve...cpome faccio ad invocarlo fluxspace??

Per far partire fluxspace modifica ~/.fluxbox/init. Dentro c'è una riga dove c'è scritto RootCommand , dopo i due punti scrivi fluxspace così quando avvi fluxbox automaticamente parte fluxspace. La slit è una barra usata per posizionare i desklet(sono delle applet monitor usate da windowmaker che possono essere usate sotto fluxbox), poi anche attaccarci gkrellm lanciando questo comando "gkrellm -w" il parametro -w attacca il monitor alla slit bar. Per settare lo sfondo all'avvio di fluxbox ti consigli di creare nella tua home il file .xinitrc. Esempio di un file che ti mette lo sfondo e avvia gkrellm attaccato alla slit bar il tutto all'avvio di fluxbox:
------Inizio file .xinitrc---------
Esetroot /home/utente/sfondo.jpg &
gkrellm -w &
fluxbox
-------Fine file .xinitrc---------
Ricordati che fluxbox deve stare alla fine. La & serve a separare i comandi che vengono eseguiti all'avvio di fluxbox. |

fluxspace ciuccia un pò di cpu e mem, però ne vale la pena, anche perchè, dall'altra parte, c'è fluxbox che nn ciuccia niente.
cmq, se vai su www.fluxbox.org nelle guide trovi indicazioni suff: brevi, chiare. segui anche il link che ti porta al sito di fluxspace.
