euhm, i tried to install gentoo on another pc of a friend of mine (succesfully installed on my nforce )
but uhm strange the fact that when i loaded the default gentoo 2.4 kernel the pci network card (dlink) isn't recognised while he has at the moment red hat linux with also a 2.4 kernel and his ethernet device gets recognised
so both 2.4 kernels while in gentoo it doesn't get recognised
anyone knows what kernel module i have to load so the dlink ethernet device gets recognised ? _________________ It would be more interesting to learn from children, than try to teach them how to behave, how to live and how to function. - U.G. Krishnamurti |
