are the lock ups in the same place? On boot? Using KDE/Gnome?

Are you overclocked?

A little more information.......

i experience the lockups mainly playing games, like americas army, my system is not overclocked, and my temp is around 50 degrees c. Sometimes the system locks up at the kde startup screen too. And also usually before that the mouse go's haywire and moves and clicks wherever it wants.
