|
|
GNOME refuses to emerge - repeatedly.
I'm using a GRP CD, and I keep getting this failure:
Code: | Calculating dependencies/
!!!Problem in gnome-base/gnome dependencies
!!! |
This is a fresh install (universal-2004.1 w/ stage-3) and has literally nothing else installed except syslog and cron.
I've tried a few variations on emerge options. Is this a problem with my CD? (It seems to check out OK...) Do I have some compile option screwed? Anybody got an answer?
Thanks! _________________ When I'm not geekin', I'm fishin'...

Just a thought, but have you emerge sync'd? If you have, it's a problem, because the GRP packages require the portage tree that came with the 2004.1 universal CD. Maybe you can do an emerge --usepkgonly ?

Nope. I haven't even finished getting ppp up and running yet. So, I have the tree from the CD... _________________ When I'm not geekin', I'm fishin'...
