Hi there. Being a stupid noob, I went and purchased a wireless card for my laptop (TRENDne/TRENDware TEW-421PC) before checking to see if it was supported in linux. Lo and behold, I discover after that setting up a wireless card can be drasticaly different depending on the chipset, and it may not even be supported at all. So I need to figure out my chipset. There is one single page Google found that tells me it has a "Texas Instruments" chipset, but that is obviously not very specific, so I could use some help. Thanks.

Oh, and I've never needed to use a pcmcia card before this so I may need some noobie pointers on that too, thanks.

TI chipsets normally use the acx100 driver

Use dhcpcd-ui (GTK+/Qt) as your System Tray Network tool
