how do i make it so when i use the command "halt" it powers down instead of just giving me a stupid message.. |

Have you enabled support for acpi or apm in your kernel? |

depending on what you enabled in your kernel (you cannot have both) |

Try adding 'acpi=force' to your kernel args. |

Does it make a difference if you have two CPUs? I haven't managed to get it to work yet, but will try some of this stuff upon next reboot (tonight/tomorrow). |
