I'm having the same problem and I don't know by the error msg what is wrong. So you could do what I did and emerge the previous ebuild of midnight commander. That compiled fine on my box.
just do a:
emerge /usr/portage/gnome-extra/mc/mc-4.5.55-r6.ebuild |

I just tried to compile it and received the same errors. I didn't find anything at bugs.gentoo.org. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

Mybe a wrong PAM.ebuild?

You all prolly allready know this but midnight commander is intergrated into the Konqueror file manager. At the top click window and then point to load view profile, in there you will find midnight commander. |

I'm having the same build error when emerging mc
Does anyone know if this is going to be fixed anytime soon? OR does there exist any alternatives to mc in a console?
I'm running 1.4_rc1.
A friend is running MC fine, but his system is a 1.2, so I was wondering if this might be a gcc issue? _________________ Best Regards
