I recently did an emerge sync/emerge -pv world, which included an upgrade to super-freeswan....now it turns out that it wasn't an upgrade but a replacement with openswan.
This is annoying as I used super-freeswan instead of openswan because it supported 1des.
Yes... I know that 1des is insecure, but unfortunately it's the only thing supported by the VPN that I need to connect to.
Anyone know how I can get 1des to work in openswan, or is my only choice to install super-freeswan from source ?

As far as I know, Ver 1.x openswan will do 1des with if you modprobe
the ipsec_alg_1des.o modules. V2.x don't. |
