What I'm trying to do is install apache + php on my system, but ...

# emerge --pretend apache php mod_php
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating dependencies ...done!

[ebuild N ] dev-php/php-4.3.6-r1
[ebuild N ] dev-php/mod_php-4.3.6-r2

There's no X support defined in make.conf ... also command:
export USE="-X"
does not help in this case... weird but it worked when I emerged Midnight Commander.

I don't need x11 support at all.

Any suggestions?
