I have a LINKSYS WIRELESS G 54MBPS WRT54G 4P CABLE/DSL ROUTER what is the best way to secure it

I know you can install Linux on it but that might be a lot of work

how can I get the Linksys pci card to work with gentoo I think I have to use a wrapper for the windows driver. or are their any open source drivers

Well as far a securing the router the only way that I am aware of to really do this is to diable remote management and keep upto date with the firmware upgrades.

There are flashes for the rom, some of them are more effective too. Sveasoft for example makes one.
