Hello there, I've just recently emerged Abiword and I am having problems using it. It runs fine, until you try and "highlight" some text, the program then just quits and kills its process.

Running it through the commandline, comes up with just the message "Aborted." when I highlight some text.

Can anyone help me solve this?

Are your GTK+ libs up to date? Try upgrading the whole system and then re-emerging Abiword to get GTK+ dependencies right.

I've seen this problem previously. But for GNOME 2.6/GTK+ 2.4 this does not occur. I'm using the version 2.0.7 of Abiword. These versions might not be available to you unless you have ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" in your /etc/make.conf.
