Gnome sound problems still

Hi all,
I am having some problems with sound here with Gnome 2.6 I have a 2.6 kernel and have no prblems with sound in Kde. When I login in Gnome, it works for first time. If I log out and try sound again, it says "no device found".

Another problem is that my sound settings are never saved. The voice level alsways gets to zero

I saw around here about this problem but always did not get answers.
