There seem to be quite a few fluxbox users on Gentoo, so I though I would ask here prior to the fluxbox lists. I have a few questions:
1) If I reconfigure my Tabs (from left-justified to top-justified, whatever) I lose my focus settings. Well not completely - normally with semi-sloppy focus, I can mouse into a window to get focus, but not raise it. If I want it raised, I can click "anywhere" in the window to raise it. After making any fluxbox changes, the click anywhere feature stops working and I have to click the titlebar. Easy fix, restart fluxbox from the menu - which bring me to number 2...
2) If I click restart from the menu, all my tab changes (from number 1) are lost, and my window grouping are lost as well. Is this expected behavior ?!@#!@ Well, the tab changes are not lost, just the tab groups that were in place. The vicious cycle begins..
3) Window autogrouping does not work. I have setup a group file, set it in my ~/.fluxbox/init file, and no dice. No matter what I do, I cannot get programs to automatically group themselves. Opening new apps from the tab menu will group them as advertised, but no autogrouping feature like the docs say.
Any ideas - all standard Gentoo "emerged" packages..
Thanks
