Hi people,
I have a problem with ssmtp. I use ssmtp as my main mail transport agent and have setup mutt. When sending mail I always get that error : smtp : cannot open mail : 25. I also tried KMail and use an external smtp server for sending mails (my ISP one) and i get the same error.
Anyone knows whats wrong?

Sounds like you have a firewall that is blocking port 25.
try to telnet to your isps smtp server on port 25.
First emerge the telnet package if you haven't already done so.

emerge netkit-telnetd

then try to telnet to your isps smtp server by typing something like

telnet smtp.yourisp.com 25
|
dont leave off the 25 at the end.
